If You’re Grieving,
by Jacqueline Whitney
There are no words that will take the pain of your grief away—you need to be seen, heard, loved, and feel deep within you that you are not alone.
No matter how much or how little time has gone by since losing someone you love, it’s okay to feel whatever you’re feeling. It’s okay to be handling life however you’re handling it.
Grief is complicated, it is dark, and it is painful beyond words. No one can tell you how to grieve. No one can expect you to be okay if you’re not okay. People will unfortunately continue living their lives as if nothing ever happened and it will make you upset to your core.
You’re left living your days as if no time has passed and the reality still doesn’t completely feel like reality. People who you would think will be there for you won’t be there for you and it will hurt.
You have to make sure you’re okay. You have to lean on the people you see care for you the most. Life is delicate. Humans are complicated.
You are precious. Be gentle with your heart.
